Utah – Travel Highlights Including National Parks, Arches, Slot Canyons
Utah is a beautiful state in the western United States that has some of the prettiest scenery in the world. The southern part of the state is full of amazing canyons and desert terrain that makes it a must-see for outdoor enthusiasts. Boasting many national parks and other protected lands, it is ripe with hiking and site-seeing opportunities. Much of the famous Grand Staircase is located in Utah, as is world renowned National Parks.
Nowhere else in the world is there such a concentration of arches as there is in Arches National Park and its vicinity. Likewise, Utah features an incredible concentration of slot canyons of technical and non-technical nature. Everywhere, you see sandstone carved into fairy-tale shapes, nowhere more evident than at the dreamy Bryce Canyon National Park. Towering sandstone cliffs and exciting canyons riddle Zion National Park.
Utah has innumerable areas to explore, many of them outside of the national parks. I continually find new places that I want to see. Take a look at the places below and click each picture to go to a detailed article from my trip to each site. I will be adding to this list continually when I am able.
