Surprise Arch is located in the Fiery Furnace area of Arches National Park in Utah. Access to the Fiery Furnace requires a hiking pass of which a limited number are provided daily. To learn more about this area and the three options of seeing it, go to my detailed article on the Fiery Furnace.

Surprise Arch is about 63 feet by 53 feet. It is a narrow span that is reminiscent of Landscape Arch although much smaller, but unlike Landscape, you will be right up under Surprise Arch.

Located nearby are Skull Arch and Walk Through Arch.
